Attorney James F. Henry
James F. Henry has practiced health care law in Birmingham, Alabama, for 20 years. He entered the field as a graduate of the Cumberland School of Law, having previously earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in business. Active in his school communities, James F. Henry joined Cumberland's National Moot Court team and served as associate editor of its law review publication.
James F. Henry graduated with his juris doctor cum laude as a member of the Curia Honoris honor society. He accepted a partnership in the Birmingham firm of Johnston Barton Proctor & Rose LLP, where he served for 10 years. After a similarly lengthy tenure with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, he accepted his current role as partner with Cabaniss Johnston Gardner Dumas & O'Neal LLP.
Throughout his career, James F. Henry has served such varied organizations as hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, and private health care practices. He speaks regularly on matters related to health law, including health care reform as well as Medicare abuse and fraud. The author of articles that appear in Birmingham Magazine and the Cumberland Law Review, he has authored pieces published in a number of health care newsletters as well.
